Women's Circle - WELCA
Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Americar
All women of Prince of Peace, who are confirmation age and older, are welcome and are encouraged to participate in WELCA’s many activities throughout the year. MINISTRIES Prayer Shawl Ministry - This ministry began at Prince of Peace in 2002 and continues to warm the people who receive these gifts, both inside and out. These shawls are knitted or crocheted by members of the congregation with verbal prayers woven into their fabric. When a member of the congregation is aware of a person in need, a shawl is delivered and a prayer is offered to the recipient. Over 250 prayer shawls have been made and delivered through this inspirational ministry. This is truly God’s work, shown in the generous spirit of all who contribute by creating the shawls, donating money for the yarn, or blessing the recipient with the delivery of the shawl. An invitation
is open to all members to be a part of this ministry. For questions, please contact Norma Ballard at 734-269-2267. Prayer Chain - Prayers are offered for those in need by notifying the prayer chain. Contact Joy Fox with your request at 734-269-2982.
